Giving back is the greatest thank you members of Texas Youth Advocates can give & we make it a point to connect with the community, so members of the program are required to participate in all community service projects throughout the year. The community service projects give us a chance to interact with those that support our program, to help those in need & help build character that can & will be used for years to come. It also aims to equip members with the necessary skills and abilities for career and educational advancement as well as motivate students to take an active role as leaders in their communities. Below is a list of community services projects that members of Texas Youth Advocates have or may participate in.

Volunteer at the Meals on Wheels of Palestine.
City of Palestine Adopt-A-Street program.
Clothes & food drives for local shelters.
Toy Drive for local kids.
Lawn cleanup
Plant a tree.

TYA "Give Back" Programs

Twice a year, Spring and Winter Holiday, TYA likes to give back to those that have helped us along the way, to those that are in need or just to show how much we love our community. During the Spring Program, we hold toy, food, clothing, etc. drives. Everything thing that is collected will be donated to a organization in the area that is in need. The Winter Holiday Program is all about bringing cheer and happiness to a particular person or group of people in the East Texas area. If you have any ideas or suggestions as to who we can help or what kind of effort can be organized, please let us know.

TYA is a participant in the Adopt-A-Street program in Palestine, Texas.

United Way Events

TYA has participated in events sponsored by the United Way of East Texas. Events like the United Way Learning Festival that gives back to the community of Palestine, Texas. We continue to look for more opportunities to participate with them and we enjoy giving back to those that make our organization what it is today!
